Death Eagle
"Death Eagle" animation for The Holy Scythe tattoo shop.
Artwork by Matt Tillman.
This animation was created to help promote the five year anniversary of the shop.
Standard workflow of cutting out individual layers from flat artwork.
Reconstruction of the artwork.
First version with the skull, cross and scythe still exposed in the first "reaper" pose .
In the second and final version I hid the cross and scythe. Also concealed the skull deeper into the "hood".
Added some bend deformations through to more follow thru and fluidity.
And finally added some Iron Maiden, for good measure.
